Anyone here do a lifesize deer yet? I'm seriously thinking of skinning out my next deer for one....buck or doe, even a little button buck. I just want to get into bigger things. Maybe if it turns out ok then i will enter it in a competition. I have a few dvd's on the subject so i can learn. I'm just asking for anyone's comments on a project like this.

I have did one i the lying down position, it sure was a lot more work than a shoulder mount but it was worth it in the end, gained a lot of experience and pleasure from doing something that I had not done before. Got a lifesize corsican ram to do now.

*Update* I figured a lifesize deer would be wayy too much work for me already, because of all the other things i have in my freezer I really don't need a full deer skin. And there are space issues too. So tonight I caped out a button buck killed by a friend of mine, and skinned it half lifesize. Button bucks being smaller are easier, so I'll just try this for my "lifesize" mount this year. Plus, it will look nice in my showroom.
