on winter bucks i like to paint the area around the eyes kinda light gray color, but on summer deer its almost a rusty color, matches the fur,i noticed on a summer deer at wasco, the flesh wasnt painted but they used make up to bring back the color. anybody use this? do i actually have to go 2 wal mart and buy some olay or does a taxi supplier have it? thx in advance

Makeup? lol I have a bunch of it. What kind of makeup though? Powder? or the creamy stuff in a compact? I have never heard of using makeup to finish a mount. But I am curious to find out.

lol i have no friggin idea,it looked like powder i guess,i could kinda see fine particle type things so i think it was powder. what does the cream look like when it dries? lol...but i have 2 go 2 wasco real soon, maybe tomoro or monday,i can take a pic maybe thatll help. ya i can see me standing in the make up section at wal mart...."maam,which one of these is best for bringing out that kinda fleshy look on a summer deer?" SLAP!!! oh ya thatll be great when i happen upon my friends.

Ha turkyman at your age you probably don't need makeup yet. Nina probably doesn't need that much ether, she probable looks great with out it, but thats a woman thing. I think if you are going to try it a little light blue helps bring the eyes out. Now on your deer I found a great paint at Van Dyke's that works on the eyes (Natures Whitetail Med Eye Brown). It looks like a grayish-brown best color shade I have ever seen for around the deer (but it may be a little dark on you) jk Don

why would you want to use make up around deer eyes anyway, it would only be a temporary fix where painting would be more permanent, the paint will not smudge when you kiss it anyway.

not yet, but i was assuming it would be kind of like kissing wife or GF with makeup smearing, it just aint gonna be permanent then you may as well paint the deer and leave the to the ladies you kiss, the only dear i kiss is the one I been married to for 30 years.
