For those of you who tan at home, what do you use to tan in? Buckets? Bins?
Thanks! Jen

I have a large plastic tub with a lid for when I do a Krowtan and a couple smaller ones for when I mix my pickle bath fro other tans I use.

I use plastic bins with lids to keep the Krowtann smell down and I have 3 others I use for rinsing, neutralizing and washing in. I will set them all up when I am ready to neutralize so I can go from one to the other. I have found if you use a bin large enough, the water baking soda neutralizer mix works great when you are done to pour into the tann bin to neutralize the acids. Just pour it slow or it will over flow. I have found it usually brings it to a ph of 7 or real close. Then you can dispose of it. In my case I just pour it onto my gravel driveway.

Krowtann in either a rubbermaid type tub. If it's a small critter, I sometimes use a Deli Cat tub that the cat food comes in from Sam's. My husband's aunt gives them to me.
