It has been too quiet on the forum today so I went back to an old question that hasn't been updated for a long time. A Blast From The Past!
What do you feel was the most difficult mount you have worked on and why?

Seahorses!!! It was difficult to figure out how to preserve them without shrinkage. Painting posed a problem. Replicating a paper thin fin also was challenging. Yet inspight all of this I am considering trying again.

About 20 years ago a client I did a lot of work for brought me a chipmunk his young son killed with a BB gun and being in a good mood that day I told him I would mount it for 25.00, thinking maybe 2 hours work tops. That little critter took me every minute of 4 hours from start to finish. Now if I ever receive another one I will charge more then for a squirrel.
