Tony Malanado has skinned and mounted two rock bass, and skinned and carved bodies for a brook trout and a pedestal mount largemouth. Tomorrow he mounts the brook trout and pedestal mouth largemouth.

You should do a tutorial on carving body mine never seem to fit always short in the head There are several ways to carve fish bodies. I know of three distinct methods. I will try and take pics of the process and post them here.

I have a cat and iguana in the freeze dryer, one dog waiting to go in. Working on some molds for turkey heads so I am ready when they start coming in again. Went out fishing Sunday and try again Friday. Only got about 1/2 dozen bass and about a dozen gills. Just got another bow set up for the carp may be I can start getting out for them next week. The flying carp are relay a blast.

Once you get in to freeze drying you kind of get a feel for when they are done, but I weigh my pieces and when I get a 3 day period with out a loss of 1 gram they are done. I wish their was some type of a meter that measured moister but I don't know of one.

I am working on molding some personal fish of mine. Business has been very slow. but the weather has also been terrible.
Just finished molding a Big Silver redhorse and a 22" largemouth.
I think I am going to start on a shark recreation for my wife. She caught it on our honeymoon a few years back.

josh are you in oshkosh? I live in manawa an hour north.Yeah the weather has been cool its suppose to be in the 70's for the weekend though. The bluegills are hit and miss waters to cold yet white lake and manawa pond are good bets starting to spawn now.The way everyone is talking I dont think a lot of people will be doing as much fishing this summer gas went up again to 3.94 I think things will be slow till the price games settle down and people get used to paying that much every one is in a panic now because there going up every other day. There will be a lot of fish sitting in peoples freezers waiting to go to the taxidermist.

DUDE! I was in Manawa about an hour ago.
We went fishing the waupaca river in weyauwega below the dam, and then the wolf in Manawa
I picked up a 30" pike and some monster smallmouth, biggest was a hair from 20" and looked like a football.
I agree about the gas prices and the fish sitting in the freezers.
