How is the ecomony effecting your business so far this year?
No effect on mine as I quit doing commercial work a little over a year ago, all I do now is my personal stuff, family mounts and a couple of my best hunting buddies stuff. I also still compete some and do a few competition mounts.

I'm not doing bad, a little slower than last year, but the pets keep me afloat. I am getting a lot less calls about pets but the ones I am getting are serious, kind of cut out a lot of the rubberneckers. I did start painting reproduction fish this year, I have to wait to see if that takes off this year.

I have been real slow this year. This is the first slow down I have seen since the economy has went downhill.

So far still good, hopefully this year things pick up. Already started this year owing the IRS $700.00. Could of sworn I had taken enough out, but they always find a way.

I've done just as many animals, but instead of a full mammal I get a tan. Or instead of a full turkey, I get a tail or chest mount. For deer, I got more rack mounts and european mounts this year instead of shoulder mounts. Since it's been legal in Iowa, I've tanned one otter per year. I can't talk anyone into spending the money on a full mount otter. Hopefully things will change sooner rather than later.

Here in Pa, Im having the same problem that buds is, european mounts, turkey tails, habitat bases are out of the question, anything to keep the cost down. And everyone tells me they would have their trophy mounted differently if they had more money.
