You will get as many opinions on this as there are taxidermists out there.
I use white DAP caulk from Wal Mart on anything smaller than a beagle. Gameheads and larger lifesize animals get Buckeye Supreme.

Buckeye Supreme is good paste, I use EPO Grip now, Had a friend that lived here in same town as me that was a chemist and mixed some glue especially for taxidermists which was excellent but they have since moved and I do not even know where to contact them so I have now began using the EPO Grip. Use the cheap caulking on small game and fish.

I use Buckeye Supreme or the Sallie Dahmes hide paste from WASCO. I haven't tried many hide pastes yet, I usually just stick to what I use the most.

3 tubes of latex caulk, large bottle of elmers white glue and enough rittels preserves it to give me the consistency i like, i use epoxy on ears and antler burrs, everything else gets the homemade stuff

I'll probably be using the Buckeye Supreme hide paste, not only to do with the influence of a Nina, but it looks to me to be the best one out there so far. =)

I have used McKenzie and Sally Dames. I stick with dry dextrine based glues that are mixed with water. I can contol the thickness by the amount of water I use. Also they only dry as fast as the animal hide dries. There are recipes out there for making your own. I think mine calls for yellow dextrine, whiting, and powdered clay.

jscanlan1 Romans VOV 555 is from Shermin Williams . It is a VOV formula, meaning it's a vinyl over vinyl adhesive. I've also used it on ear liners with great results. If you get it in the hair it comes out easy and it holds real good to ! quest
