OK so i have made a mistake, Fixable? i hope. I took (hair on) the mistake i know they will be wrong the deer hair is very thick. Can i shave the form down, the neck is already gone can i measure the hide. I still have A eye to nose and i might be able to get B just under ears. I know C is important too can i fix this?

Did you already order your form? I don't like hair on measurements. All I have ever used was meat measurements and I have been right every time with the form size. I say just measure the cape once it is tanned (because you may get some shrinkage during the tanning process) and go from there. I have done this before on capes I bought that didn't come with measurements, worked just fine. To get the B measurement on a cape, lay the cape flat inside out on a table or on the floor, (so you looking at the leather side) and measure that side of the cape. Multiply that by 2 and you have your B measurement. For example if you get 10 inches while measruing, than you have a 20 inch cape.

meat measurements are always the best but sometimes they come in allready skinned or whatever and you have to measure without the meat. You can shave a form a certain amount to make fit just dont shaev a disproportionate amount so that the mount looks oddball.

I agree Krowtann, On the two deer I have used them on I have plenty of stretch with the cape so don't alter that form yet, You may still be able to make it fit. If you shave the hide well you will get plenty of stretch.
