When did you do this one? Looks good! I like the attitude with the white of the eye showing. Also I see you got the lacrymal gland tucked nicely. Eye shape looks nice, apoxie finishing a little rough, so paint the eye skin all one color to match (brown with a little tint on mars red, is what i use, and it gives a nice look). Right ear is a little higher than the left, nostrils too wide. Lips needed to be tucked more. last thing, the second white patch is a little off, should have been aligned with the first one. but this mount has a nice overall attitude, and i like it. Good job!

I am new myself but it looks like one ear is lower than the other. aren't the nostrils supposed to be flesh going to brown then to a paynes grey color? They look white and a little large for that size buck.

trkyman, looking good! Like Nina said, lower lip needs to be tucked more. All tou want to see is hair, no skin around the mouth. Bottom lip under nose should be a little smaller than the nose it self. The lacrymal glands need to be closed a little more, while they are drying, couple times a day push the skin on top to close it up while tucking it, until it sets up, then run a couple pins around it to hold in place. The eyes look real alert, but the very top of the eye is to round, push the very top down a bit. I dont see any white on the left eye. Do you have him looking to the right? If so, yhen the white of the eye on left eye should be in the back. That would be why I dont see it. Nose looks good, Can see the nods on it, good job. Ears, nuff said. Over all you did a real nice job. You can be proud of this one.

After looking at the eyes better, Next time look at better reference the shape is off a little. The front third of the eye should be higher. Here is a good web site to purchase eye reference photos. Glen does a great job and you will learn a lot with them. www.whitetailsystems.com/DeerReferencePhotos.html
