paint looks good! only thing i might see,the nostrils could be alittle more open,and the ear ear butts may be alittle small. looks like the skin pulled away from the rear of the antler burrs,lips may have pulled alittle. looks good tho!

what kind of hide paste are you useing? were the antlers set alittle too high?

Take your time Nina, I know it is a lot of work and stress getting ready for competition. I am in no hurry. I use Buckeye Supreme on most of the hide and used Epo grip on the nose and lips. I spent a lot of time on antler setting with this buck, I took a lot if measurements also, I finally took them off the form and attached them to the frozen skull for more reference and finally got them where they needed to be. think the problem is that I just had some hide shrinkage around the burrs. Next time I will nail them in place until they dry.Here are some reference photos of antler setting and how I did it. I also measure tip of each antler to tip of the nose.

Yes the form is from McKenzie. It is the Joe Meder upright.
