How do you measure your deer heads so you can order a manikin?
EX, before you cape, after you cape, add 2 inches, subtract an inch, etc.

I also take eye to nose before I skin then take neck after skinning, I also have several different sized manikins that I use to test fit capeson before freezing, that way I am sure of what will fit.

Get a catalog from your supplier, they will have how to do measurements. If you live in the north watch where you get your mann, I bought a southern mann. it was way to small.

I do eye to nose, antler tips to nose, muzzle width, eye to eye, nose to back of head, and nostril to nostril measurements prior to skinning. Then I take meat measurements for the neck. Then I recheck B and C measurements after tanning on the hide before ordering the form. Then you have to rely on the form to come out with what they advertise, So I usually order 1/2" smaller on neck.
