How often do you get visits from your state law enforcement division?

About once every 12 to 18 months, never had any problems with them, everything always went smooth.

I've had one in the last 6 years or more. Not sure if the fact that I only do fish has anything to do with it.

I haven't got a visit yet. I do not need a taxidermy license here in Michigan for doing only fish.

I have been lucky so far, no one has come knocking on my door. I sat in a seminar at our state convention about 3 years ago where they had the DNR talking. At that time they said they were so understaffed that they would be lucky to check 3 taxidermist in each district in a year. Now with the new way to get license I am willing to bet the number of taxidermist have gone up it may even make it a less likely chance of being drawing for a check. But watch after posting this they will be on my back porch tomorrow.

Certain times of the year they don't have much to do. That may be when they will stop in if they are in your area. One of ours used to hang around an archery shop so much if you wanted to reach him that is where you called. At least that is what I was told.

I have gotten a visit the past two years. Both were in early February when they don't have much else to do.

I just recently got a visit after not being licensed for three years. I have just been doing replica fish, so a license was not needed.
