I took 3 courses from Dan Rinehart about 4 years ago. I was already in and out and in and out of taxidermy for about 30 years. The company I worked for had a tuition assistance program and before I retired I knew I was going to go full time with the taxidermy field so I took advantage of it. Rinehart school was one of the few the program would cover. Relay look in to the classes, try to find out who the instructors are. If Dan is teaching the class I would look someplace else. Frontally when I went Tony Finazzo was teaching birds, and Don Rich was teaching mammals. Unfortunately Dan taught game heads. Their is also a lot to learn and try to remember to try to cram it in to a one week seasons. I had been doing taxidermy work for 30 years on and off, and I had a hard time keeping every thing straight. The people new to taxidermy were more confused when they left. Dan also gears his teaching around the products he sells, he trys to have his instructors teach the same way. We use to take the instructors out to dinner and because I knew taxidermy we would ask him (DRILL HIM) with questions. And he would say OK now that we are out of class you can do this or do that. If you ask 10 taxidermist how to do something you will probably get 10 different ways, look at this forum how many different responses you get. At Dan's class their is only his way geared around the product he sells. When I took Dan's deer head class I went with my Partner and Son. On the way I told them about his method of teaching and told them to keep their eyes open, and ask questions. Then after the class I had my own class at the motel, the hole class started coming. We had a question and answer session every night, those people left knowing how thing could be done in a lot of different ways. Dan Rinehart's class on a 1 to 10, maybe 3 Now if you wear a skirt and like to flirt , you will get one of the best hands on, one on one, courses that can be offered.

I will take a look but I hate to judge someones work. I am by no means a judge and pictures are no way to relay get a good opinion. Your state convention is the best place I could recommend. I never enter with the idea of taking home the ribbon, this is the greatest learning too I know of, it is so easy to fall in to a rut or develop a habit. The ribbon is the bonus.
