I sealed a fish the other day with polytranspar fungicidal sealer in an aerosol can and the next day I was going to start painting and I noticed that the sealer did not adhere to the fins. I cut where the fins meet the body and the sealer just pealed right off. What caused this to happen? Now I am worried about if the sealer adhered to the body or not.Now that I pulled off the layer yesterday , today the first coat is peeling off the fins. And I bet if I were to start pulling a piece toward the body from the fins it would peel off the body to.

sounds like you got a bad can of sealer, I too once got a bad can that would not stick just as you say yours doesn't, and it was polytranspar, I have used it since with no problems but now I mostly use lifetone sealer or Gary Bowens and have never had any trouble with either. I think to avoid any future problems with this fish you should just strip everything off and get another can of sealer and start over and redo it completely.
