She was walking around really weird this morning with your head and neck cocked funny to one side. Had trouble with her equilibrium but still managed to crawl up the stairs to get my attention. Really pathetic to see a 100 plus pound dog walk around like that. I was sure it was a stroke or something but the vet doesn't think so. She thinks it's an ear infection but needed to sedate her so she could get a good look inside and do an x-ray. It's also a surgery day so she had to do these things between surgeries. The good news I guess is an ear infection is sure better than a stroke or seizure if we can treat it with antibiotics. Anyone else have a similar experience?

our dog has a lot of ear infections we have to constantly clean her ears they will smell pretty bad the vet told us it was allergies. I hope everything works out sometimes pets are like your kids you worry the same about them

Thanks jonny. She's doing much better. Turns out no infection but she had some really hard ear wax impacted against her ear drum. The vet was not able to get it all out, but we have something I have to put in her ear twice a day, which should soften it. Man I thought she was a goner this morning!

Cecil, have you been whispering sweet nothings in to the dogs ear? You are suppose to practice that in front of the mirror not the dogs ear. Just kidding, I have never heard of a dog getting that out of sorts over ear wax, a new one for me.

Glad to here your dog is doing good. Yep pretty much back to normal although she must have injured he left front ankle (is that what it's called with dogs?) as it gives out on her on occasion and she is favoring the other paw. I looked it over and didn't see anything external. That too is getting better though. She goes back in Monday to check the ear and get her shots updated. Damn I better make some money to pay for that! At least it's not as outrageous as going to a doctor!

It's not to far off from going to a doctor though.
