Ugh man what a day. Last night my Wife came home and checked on our pet bunny. he was completely paralyzed on one side. it seems he had a stroke in the afternoon. We had to take him to the vet and had him put to sleep. He was such a good little guy. He lived in the house with us and was litter trained. His bed was across from where I do my detail painting in the basement. Last night after my wife finally went to sleep. I went down to work. sat down and realized the lil guy was gone, I have been so used to spending all night with him while I paint. Sigh....... I ended up tearing up in my studio. Then this morning I got up to feed our fish, and my big Chichlid was on her side, eye puffed out and turning dark in patches. I knew she wasnt going to mmake it long, and rather then see her suffer I had to end it for her. My Wife and I had bought her when she was a half an inch long back when we started dating. that was 8 years ago. I know some of you may think its stupid, it was a rabbit and a fish. but wow it still really sucks.

Josh,
No not stupid at all. Animals are a gift to us from our creator and they have something in common with us in that they share the gift of life. Always sad to see something go we are attached to.
Hang in there. Get another pet!

We are already thinking about getting another bunny. and I am going to clean out my tank and get ready for another fish. perhaps an Oscar.
I actually froze my cichlid and will probably do a replica of her, and hang it over the aquarium.
What a crazy week.

I'm sorry to hear about your loses. It's always hard losing a pet no matter what kind of pet that it is.
