Until this weather straightens out we cant do anything here, we are almost drowned out with all the rain, then a few days of clear in the 70 degree range, now this morning 35 degrees with a few snow flakes falling and raining again.

Gardening is my wife's domain and I gladly avoid it. I've been checking out the local waters for a week to see where there was open water. Well.....today the ice is all gone off of my favorite spots so tomorrow morning I'll be gone.....

James, I've been watching it pretty close. I was still caught a little off guard when I heard you guys were going to get snow. There is talk of us getting a frost, but I think it will stay mostly north of Lafayette. My elders told me long ago, "when the pecan trees start budding, winter is over", well the pecan in my yard might be confused.
Mrs, I send the family off when I start mine, so getting out of her way is probably the best thing that you can do.
