We have picked up a few new members in the last week or two. The question I have for them is what do we need to do to generate more excitement on the forum. We can not keep going with one or two post a month. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.

Ok here is a suggestion...Several of us local taxidermist run contests and the winner gets a crown, not to keep, but to hold till the next contest...Can you come up with a avatar that makes that person a king or queen like bragging rights? Or they get a certificate or something they can brag about. Since we're all online, how about start to finish pics, and maybe drop them in a beginner section so others could get a tip or two.
Just my 2 cents...I just joined and would like to see this forum take off, it seems very interesting...
Thanks xfeathersx

Please don't take this wrong. I would change the colors scheme. If you look where we are on the site and scroll up to the word taxidermy talk its a lot more pleasing to the eyes. If it looks busy or boring, I'm going to look for something more appealing on another site. I'd prefer small pictures around the site of other taxidermists work (even pics of shed antlers mixed in with the fall colors would be nice).I think your heading in the right direction, you just need to tweak the format where its eye catching and sparks interest. Just my two cents.

Hey Thanks. It's a lot easier on the eyes. I like the way it looks now on this page how the colors are broken up, Yellow Brown nice! This time of year I think about hunting a lot and wish I was out there it would be nice to have some pics of Mule deer, Elk and so on. The Fall leaves are nice! I would like to put a picture with my profile but cant find the info on how to do that? Any help would be great. quest

I'm sorry if this sounds like complaining but I'm just trying to make this site more appealing to the eye, or at least mine. The outlined words you use for "search," "bookmark," "reply," "share" and "print" are too small. They would be more pleasing to my eye if they were larger and one color rather than outlined the way they are now. You might also consider moving the "Message Inbox down with the other icons and maybe adding a flashing sign to let one know they have a New Message rather than where it's currently located (top right). It took me a while to locate my new messages. On numerous other sites, the New Message Box is generally located along with the other icons on the same row (merely a suggestion). On a different note, I'm liking the new changes so far but still looking for those Mule Deer, Elk and any other animal pics too LOL!

The icon lettering is too small but that is the way proboards has it. If there is a way to make the lettering bigger I don't believe even the administrators can increase the font short of downloading their own icons.

Hey this place is still alive yeah! Just got back from a Coues hunt southern AZ unit 35B. Shot at a very large buck, heavy antlers at 623 yards, bullet hit dead center just below his front hoof. My rifle was shooting low for some reason move it up two clicks later and shot at a small rock 610 yards drilled it dead center. Oh well, going back on Tuesday to try my luck again oh by the way my rifle is set up to shoot out to 1000 yards and its a tack driver.. Wish me luck.
