I think time has come to let the forum shut down.
Their is a lot of good information on this forum but with no one contributing any more it is of very little use anyone.
We get a new member every once and a while but we can not keep their interest if we do not post anything.
Any Ideas are welcome.
Anyone wanting to take over the form to try boosting participation is welcome to jump in.
Your input is welcome.

Start posting and get friends to join and start posting and maybe we will be able to keep it open. Also if you ahve any ideas on getting others involved please post on here ot PM one of the administrators and hopefully we can keep it going. We appreciate any help we can get.

The only way this forum can keep up and functional is if people start posting on it. I check this forum every day, we have 60 and 70 visitors every day, but no one post anything to bring visitors back.
When you are reading this ask your self how long it has been since you visited here? Than ask your self how long has it been since you posted any thing on the forum? One more question: Why would people want to come back if their is never anything NEW?
This forum belongs to it's members, The only rules are refrain from Politics, Religion and Bickering.
Are these the only things to post about?
COME ON this is a TAXIDERMY FORUM

IMO this site is unable to compete with the HUGE audience of taxidermists on the other one. It's just like the little mom & pop stores that couldn't (and still can't) compete with WAL-MART. Any and all of the questions posted on this site are identical the ones on the other site, but over there they generate numerous replies because of thousands of members. Repetition here is unnecessary and therefore the number of posts are few. If it requires resources of any kind to maintain this site, I'd follow the recommendation to shut it down. It's one thing to be just a member, but you moderators have a reponsibility. From your standpoint, I would find it a relief to shut down. That's the way I see it.

I have to agree with mrs. I'm guilty of it myself...I look at the site every couple days (as a guest) and don't see much happening. I hate to see it go, but it doesn't have the same feel as the last site (that some A**HOLE hacked into). There's my 2 cents.

I think that everyone is waiting for someone else to post so they can help someone. Or maybe Taxidermy Talk is like a dating a girl that is as big as a tank. No buddy wants to get caught with her.
Taxidermy should be about the love of the art not trying to be noticed or kissing backsides of people thinking they will help promote your promote a product or anything else. Very few people make it big in the taxidermy industry, and most of the suppliers are beginning to be monopolized.
With that being said, we should just post because we love doing taxidermy.

This forum does not cost us anything to run as long as we keep it active.
The guest we have every day must be what is keeping it running.
I have been able to check in just about every day, James is on quite often, and J checks in when time permits. So as far as moderating the forum it has not been a problem yet.
The only problem is the boredom of no new post day after day after day.
This forum belongs to it's members, it doesn't cost you anything to be a member other than a couple of minutes of your time to help keep it interesting (a post now and than)

That's my point, why not post if you love taxidermy. I think some folks don't post because their is no big wigs to rub elbows with or judges to suck up to. Your right Don this site doesn't cost a thing, no body gains a cent from the site. It is pure love of taxidermy.
