Well I think I got my first deer for the season. Guy called last night said his daughter shot her first buck. He's gonna call back Monday when his daughter gets back from her moms and set up a drop off time. He said that he wants something a little different from the plain old shoulder mount. So I think I'm going to suggest a pedestal or wall pedestal mount. Haven't done one of those yet most people I do stuff for like the traditional stuff. I thought about the grooming pose but I think being the first deer they will want to see more of the face and rack. I am just curious how much more do you guys usually charge for a pedestal mount? And is it the same price as the wall pedestal? I was thinking $75 more then my shoulder. Oh and if anyone has any other ideas for something different let me know I would appreciate it.

$75 more than traditional mount for a wall pedestal is about right, remember that you need a little more skin than a traditional mount though, but if it is a table top or floor pedestal be sure to add enough more to cover the base you put it on.

Thanks Jw, thats what I was kinda thinking to. When I find out more of what they want I will figure the base like I usually do. I hope there is enough skin to do it because I would really like to do one.
