I'm not yet done with this one, the eyes and ears are painted but the septum still needs work.

looks really nice, only things i could see,the skin around the left antler burr looks like it may be a little higher than the right but it may just be the pic,i dont really see a eye lid indention on the left eye like i do on the right, but as u know pics make everything look worse and so those things may not even be there, and maybe a tad too much lower lip,but the biggest, num 1 problem i see,the left side of his rack is too big! how could you posibly miss that? ?lol jk with ya,looks great to me,those are just a few things that judges may notice but im not trying to say anything bout ur work.

thanks for the comments trky, yes i do realize there's things on this mount i could get points taken off for. but i've done so much better than last year's competition mount. i'll have to post pics of it so we all can laugh I've improved a lot though. And I'll get pics of the nose pad today after school, hopefully the camera won't get too much glare. The key to a good mod podge nose, though, is to take a small artists brush and recreate each individual noddule, rather than just painting on random little dots.

ya,to me the mount looks great,id be happy paying 400$for him,and he looks even better than ur old mounts, and definantly alot better than mine,lol...and also, ive seen ppl use a syrynge with a very small needle to i guess inject each nodule, ever try that? seems like thatd be kinda hard 2 do.

Hi Nina, great job , I did notice some of the things trkyman noticed and it could be the pic just not showing things as well as can be, the real noticable thing for me isthat, and it could be the angle of the pic again, the lower lip looks just a little lopsided and larger on one side than the other, If it si it can be fixed with a little epoxy clay and careful painting to make the two sides even. Again it may be the pic. If you think it is better than last years comp by all means take it and let a judge ctitique it and tell you what you need to correct and go from there, it will only get better with each years critique as long as you keep the positive attitude and learn while there.
