theres a guy in Alaska named ken who everyone has had good feedback with he seems great. ebay is hit or miss.... order as many as you can if its under 200 it takes a lot longer to get them up to large skulls. www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php/topic,60167.0.html

I am no expert but I have cleaned 100's of skulls and I would never clean a skull any other way then beetles. You do have a strong smell with the bugs but no where close to the smell with rotting down skulls and cleaning them by hand afterwords. Get some beetles, feed them, keep them warm and they will turn into a colony and you yourself will be selling off your extras on Ebay also. Just be sure to cut off the extra meat, pull the eyes and blow the brains out with air or water, dry the skull to jerky meat and you are good to go.

You got that right weasel with the smell. If we could only bottle up that maceration smell we would have been out of Iraq years ago with a new and improved stink bomb, or as I like to say the smell of death with a few hand fulls of maggots tossed in.

I'm thinking about getting some beatles here, but i'm a little worried about them. How warm do i have to keep them? I was thinking about keeping them in the barn would that work out ok? Also what do you feed the beatles? I'm planning on doing maybe 4 or 5 european mounts here in the next 2 months would beatles be worth the investment?
